TSF chairs Wilder Ouse conference
The Wilder Ouse conference in Lewes was a remarkable occasion, bringing together large numbers of land owners, land managers, councils, community groups, youth groups and conservation experts, to connect land and people across the catchment. It was an energetic and solution-focused event involving 140 committed participants – so much action and such opportunity to make a real difference.
It’s a complex task bringing together the data, natural flood management, funding, creative thinking and coordinated action. The determination amongst participants was palpable and the work underway really tangible. The challenge is to connect and work together for maximum impact.
It was a pleasure for TSF to work with the Sussex Wildlife Trust Wilder Ouse team in organising the event, chairing the day’s discussions and forging joined-up action for nature recovery.
